In 1950, the Department of Statistics introduced undergraduate program in Statistics under the leadership of national Professor Dr. Qazi Motahar Husain. Since then, the graduates of this program have been disseminating cutting edge statistical knowledge across the world. The program was initiated as a 3-year BSc (Honors) in Statistics, which evolved into its current format of a 4-year integrated undergraduate program since 1996 – 97 session. At present, 88 students are enrolled in this department in each academic session. Most of them are admitted through the “KA” unit and a very few are from the “GHA” unit admission test.
